[there's been some sort of... shakeup on the steppe, closer to Dhoro Iloh than anything else, which means the namazu are losing their tiny minds about it. they're all too ready to dump all their concerns in arias' lap the moment he comes by, as always. there's been a great and terrible noise in a nearby cave, they cry, like the earth ripping itself open and then slamming itself shut again. they point arias to the cave with all the matanga, except... it's pretty much just matanga corpses, and clear traces of alien aether, but no actual perpetrator is found there.
however, if he drops by Reunion, there is a clearly foreign hyur woman in the middle of trying to barter for local clothing, since, well, while she can pass for an adventurer, she kind of doesn't want to stand out that much.]
[All the same, even with the namazu's panic they still manage to drop several requests on Arias. After, that is, he takes advantage of the leftover dead matanga and strip them of their hides and whatnot. Free crafting materials ahoy.]
[Luckily (for who, who knows?) one of them takes him to Reunion. And sure adventurers have been becoming more prevalent in Othard as of late, but new fashion? And somehow Rowena hasn't poached it yet? That's a miracle in-and-of itself.]
[For the most part, Arias leaves the poor woman to her business until she, like many adventurers, comes up against the wall that is communicating with the Qestir. Then he finally approaches.]
Ah, excuse me? Would you like some help with whatever you're doing?
[She is, at least, being very polite in her confusion and utter lack of successful communication.]
Ah-- sorry, that is, I'm having trouble understanding...
[YOU aren't a dragonperson. that actually relaxes her a little, mostly in that she at least isn't a completely unheard of sort of presence here. phew.]
The Qestir run this trading post and determine who can or cannot sell their wares here. They're mute by choice, for they don't trust intent through words, but through actions and body language. I'm sure it'll be fine once you introduce yourself properly to them, if you're up for it? Otherwise I could facilitate while I'm here?

I would like to trade for supplies, if possible.
